Quack Quack!

No, I don't have the duck flu.

And I honestly don't think I have the swine flu either.

I think my doctor is... how does my husband put it.... a quack??

He's a great doctor I think, but he's a little.... over the top and overly cautious with everything. Which I guess I'd prefer that to the alternative of not thinking anything is a big deal and possibly missing something life threatening.

Anyhow, the worst pain I was in yesterday was my injection sites from the steroid and the other shot I got. I woke up this morning feeling fine... cough is gone, sinuses are feeling slightly better. Earache is feeling better too.

I feel like an idiot for being home from work. To my knowledge, I never had a fever. I think I'd know if I had a fever (although, Tuesday Maureen did say at work I looked pale and lethargic looking).

So... I guess I'm going to just attempt to be thankful for a day off work (even though my kids are driving me nuts). I've rescheduled my Halloween Party as well... hopefully next Friday will be nicer weather. :)

  1. I hate to say it but people get really whiny when they're sick. Maybe you really did have the swine flu and you're just stronger & can deal w/ it better than most people! ;) Glad you're feeling better.

  2. I haven't decided yet - my kids have already gotten the regular flu vaccine and their doc didn't stress getting the H1N1 vaccine either. I personally, think there is too much hype over Swine Flu - the doctors here don't even give any meds for it unless you are a high risk case...i.e. pregnant, weakened immune system, children with severe symptoms, elderly, etc... Other than that recommend good old rest and lots of fluids. So yeah, I don't really know what we will do.
