Tough Day

Despite a great morning at the park, Hudson napped for 15 minutes on the way home and refused to nap the rest of the afternoon.  Instead, I spent the afternoon replacing them back into their bedrooms.  And Ryan and I spent this evening listening to tantrums and fights.

Ryan's dad is here... thank God.  We decided to skip class and we cancelled our babysitter (Sam).  Luckily, Dave was available.  We're going to go on a much needed date night.... ice cream and a movie?

Some things to think about.....

Be patient with boys—you're dealing with soul stuff.    ~ Elbert Hubbard

Before I got married I had six theories about bringing up children; now I have six children, and no theories.  ~John Wilmot

It kills you to see them grow up.  But I guess it would kill you quicker if they didn't.  ~Barbara Kingsolver, Animal Dreams

When my kids become wild and unruly, I use a nice, safe playpen.  When they're finished, I climb out.  ~Erma Bombeck

I love to play hide and seek with my kid, but some days my goal is to find a hiding place where he can't find me until after high school.  ~Author Unknown
